Welcome Rev. Dr. John Wilkinson

Dear Members and Friends of PCCH,

The Pastor Nominating Committee is excited and grateful to announce that the congregation voted this past Sunday to call The Rev. Dr. John Wilkinson to be our next minister and head of staff. Below are two pictures taken after the vote as Cindy and John are saying a word to the congregation. The pictures include John’s wife Bonny and their children Kenneth and Ann.

While John’s starting date and Cindy’s ending date are not official, we anticipate that John will begin around mid-September and Cindy will be officially retired around mid-October. We are sure about the following dates, so mark your calendars:

September 8: Cindy will preach her last sermon and there will be a retirement party that evening at the church.

September 15: Brian and Austin will do a dialogue sermon.

September 22: John will preach his first sermon and we will celebrate Homecoming Sunday.

John’s service of installation will likely be in October.

All of the members of the PNC thank you for all of your prayers over this last year. Now we ask your prayers for John as he shares the news of his call with his congregation in Rochester this week.
