Programs for Youth

Christian Education for Youth at PCCH is centered in the belief that youth are important members of the church and ought to be involved in the total life of the congregation. Our goal in all that we do with young people is to help them live as those who have been claimed and called by God to love and service. We hope to build a youth program where young people feel connected to each other, to the church and to the world. With such vision in mind, our youth activities include recreation, study, service and worship.

Youth Program
Jr High Fellowship (6th - 8th grade)
: meet every Thursday evening starting September 18th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Come hang out, go on adventures and have some fun.  We will meet in Andrew's office.

Sr. High Fellowship (9th - 12th grade): meet every Sunday evening starting September 21 from 5:30-7:00 p.m.

The Current
Every Sunday starting September 21, all 10th through 12th graders are invited for a time of deeper conversation, coffee/tea, and fellowship.  We've discussed a broad range of topics including politics, ethics, sports, movies and media!  Lead by our fearless seminarian, Brian, these are great conversations! We hope that you can come join us this year.

Youth Events

During the school year the youth participate in a variety of fellowship activities, such as: lock-ins, retreats, ski trips, and service projects. Every summer the youth participate in a week-long mission trip and have the opportunity to participate in summer camps and national denominational gatherings. Check out the church calendar and stay tuned to this site for more information.

CONFIRMATION CLASS: Confirmation class will be offered this year for those young people who are entering grade nine. We will begin the year in January 2008, meeting weekly at 5pm on Sundays. Exploring the ways faith intersects with daily life, the class will look at the basic building blocks of the Christian faith from a biblical and theological perspective. At the end of our study, each confirmand will write a statement of faith. This class provides ample opportunity for young people to ask important questions, to put words to their wondering and to discover the certainties upon which they can stand. The class will end on Confirmation Sunday.

To learn more about Confirmation class and/or any of the youth programs, please contact Andrew.
