Woman, Cradle of Abundance @ PCCH

Sunday, October 23
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

For the last two years, our church school offering (mostly in the form of single dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies) has gone to help support the work of our ministry partners at Woman, Cradle of Abundance. Through its sewing school in the Congo, this organization teaches girls (many of whom have been abandoned by their families following gendered violence) to read, write, and earn their own living. Mama Monique and other representatives of the sewing school will be with us in worship on Sunday, October 23. They will lead our Children’s Moment and then teach a combined church school class in the chapel. Some of the beautiful work of the school’s students will be for sale in the reception room next to Widener Hall during coffee hour. Get started on your Christmas list and help our sisters in the Congo to learn and to earn a living!
